I assure you, the is clearly a minority opinion and would never pass as a resolution in the US Congress.

I doubt anyone would bring a war resolution to the floor as it would receive little more than passing ridicule.

So why make the promise? It's BS. The USA would not, under any foreseeable circumstance, risk existential war to defend Ukraine. Or Georgia. Or even a couple of the existing members of NATO.

No. Russians and their sycophants are deluded if they think they can attack any NATO nation and not face full-scale war with the entire NATO alliance. If Russia attacks NATO, it's world war 3, period. Face that reality. NATO is the most powerful military force in the world. If Russia goes to war with NATO, Russia will lose.

Why not? The sons, as you speak of, have already committed to defend freedom. Russia is a threat to freedom. Not as big a threat as the old Soviet Union, but a threat none the less!
