You’re familiar with the Acadian Expulsion?
First it was New France, then Acadia, later New Scotland.
Nova Scotia as a Scottish colony only lasted a few years. French were expelled in the 1740’s or so.
Many of those expelled ended up in Louisiana and became the Cajuns.
Acadia included parts of neighboring provinces as well; the French were also removed from the mostly coastal areas they settled in them. New France included a large part of upstate NY and other areas later included in the colonies; Ft. Ticonderoga was originally the French fort Carillon.
