It doesn’t really matter - the whole area will become another frozen conflict zone like Transdniestria.

But better that than civil war. Probably the only country to exert influence over the new country would be Russia.

Frozen conflicts tend to eventually thaw out and, not to overextend the metaphor, heat up.

If Novorussia really is a good name for the region Tsarev wants to join Donetsk and Luhansk, Transdniestria won’t long be a frozen conflict zone. I’d bet Transdniestria would join quickly!
