“...what we have today is much better.”

From a technological standpoint, absolutely. Better brakes, better suspension, far better tires. But from the standpoint of fun? Nah!

I have a friend with a 1967 Mustang GT 390. This car gets honks, waves and thumbs up everywhere it goes. It is great fun for about 15 minutes. Then I realize that the lack of power steering, the clutch that takes three men and two small boys to push and the sloppy steering are not much fun at all.

As I said, I still like these all American cars. I just do not want to drive one very far - I am spoiled.
