If I wanted America to fail

Note that this is not from a Communist publication but from an anti-Communist book, The Naked Communist by W. Cleon Skousen (Salt Lake City, Utah: Ensign, 1958)--probably the 1961 or '62 edition. Nonetheless, it's an accurate summary of Soviet and Communist objectives at the height of Nikita Khrushchev's era of "peaceful coexistence."

I refer to this frequently and sometimes post a numbered reference. Wouldn't you all say that the Commies have been fairly successful since this reading into the Congressional record in 1963? Anyway to measure their success numerically? Have they achieved say 50% of their goals? Certainly control the media and the schools (all ed levels). Seems like they have their man in the people's white hut.

I'd have to say that the goals have been achieved in an overwhelming manner. We are on our last legs, with only the Tea Party left to stop the complete assimilation into the Communist mindset. 1963: "1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war."

2014: Done. Democrat/Communist Party agenda virtually identical, while much of the GOP is trending communist (Establishment GOP)

2014: Constant battle. First with FCC, now with Network Neutrality. Executive action released control to International consortium.

1963: "17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks."
2014: Done. Universities gone in the 80's, high schools in the 90's, and the entire school system in the 2000's. All student loans controlled by the feds.

1963: "18. Gain control of all student newspapers."
2014: Pragmatically done.

1963: "19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack."
2014: Pragmatically done. Speech codes, diversity codes rule on campuses.

1963: "20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions."
2014: Done. Mainstream Media is completely in the tank for the commies.

1963: "27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch.""
2014: Done. Replaced with "Environmentalism."

1963: "28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state.""
2014: Being done, though not completely. Scotus ruled 5-4 recently to preserve prayer.

1963: "29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis."

1963: "30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man.""
2014: Being done. Primary: White, rich, land and slave owners.

1963: "31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over."
2014: Being done, though not promoting Russia, but rather denigrating whites.

1963: "32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc."

2014: Done, not just through promiscuity and divorce, but through tax and benefit manipulation against the family.

1963: "41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents."
2014: Done. Common Core, Preschool funding, etc.

1963: "42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems."
2014: Done. Non-arrests for OWS and other protesters.
