The SS probably already knows how much the NSA is watching everybody so they reasoned that there was nothing wrong with doing this to only one person.

Our Government is out of control and drunk with power that it believes has no check and balance, let alone any sort of accountability to We the People.

Government workers complain they don’t make enough money, and they could make so much more in the private sector, so their attitude seems to be, “OK, I’ll stay. But I’m treating the dept./agency like my private business.”
Not just this SS appointee, but Lois Lerner and all the other Democrat hacks who think they have carte blanche (like their Boss) with public moneys.

Sullivan ordered agents assigned to a presidential detail to shift their attention to surveillance of the neighbor. The neighbor, a 22-year employee of the FBI, tells the Washington Post that she knew she was being watched, but couldn’t believe it when told who was watching her and her family in the rural area of La Plata, Maryland:

“Their spokesperson says that the Prowler unit doesn’t work in “protective services,” which may be true in the most literal sense “

kind of reminds me of the scene in “kill bill”, when Michael madsen tells his boss its ok to be late because as a bouncer, there was no one there to bounce. his boss says, “what are you trying to tell me, that you’re not doing the job i’m paying you to do because you don’t have a job?”.
so, if those secret service agents are not protecting anyone, then why are they there?

Mark Sullivan served under Obama and could have only have been appointed if he were corrupt.

It must be demoralizing for the Secret Service that their primary job is protecting America’s most dangerous enemy in all history. I’m not surprised that the corruption at the top has led to abuses in the Secret Service.
