Your post 33 rings true to me. Ronald Reagan pulled off what he did (and it was admirable) by his wit, political philosophy, jovial and likeable personality, and, when required, dignified presence. Hillary has none of these attributes. She has no wit, no discernible political philosophy, a totally repulsive personality, and she looks just shop-worn.
The American electorate, to be sure, as a group, comes across as unbelievable stupid and gullible, but I don’t think we’ve reached the point at which they would elect someone such as her.

Americans in my lifetime have voted for the presidential candidate they feel most comfortable with (with the possible exception of Nixon), someone they would enjoy having a beer with or inviting to Sunday dinner.
Hillary seems as though she would fall asleep on the bar (or in the ladies’ room) or steal the family silver when she left the house.
You write that as if you believe the American Electorate will actually have a choice in the manner.
