So your theory is that a deal was made that would allow the US to claim killing Bin Laden, while he was kept alive and secretly hidden somewhere. The main problem with that theory is that the attack by Al Qeada in Benghazi, was Al Qeada saying to the US, screw your deal. So if the deal was screwed and Bin Laden was still alive, we would see live videos of him right now. Assuming of course that he was hidden but somewhat free. If he was in the custody of the US, Al Qeada would not have broken the deal because the US could then kill Osama.

Most likely thing is that he was wasted in Abbott City.

Another possibility is OBL was now in US possession and that he was seen as a has been or traitor to AQ and written off by them.
