I struggle with thinking Obama and Putin are on the same team, due to Obama’s comment in 2012 to Dimitri M. that he “would have more flexibility after the election”.
If Obama was not on Putin’s side, would his actions be any different.
Obama and John Kerry are radicals from way back. All this threat and bluster to me is just for show. Putin still gets what he wants in the end.

We are as a whole. When people empower the left, they get the left. Many refuse to admit that simple and obvious truth. There is no left and left lite. there is only the left. And that means dictators.
