DONETSK, Ukraine -- Ninety percent of voters in a key industrial region in eastern Ukraine came out in favor of sovereignty Sunday, pro-Russian insurgents said in announcing preliminary results of a twin referendum that is certain to deepen the turmoil in the country.

Roman Lyagin, election chief of the self-styled Donetsk People's Republic, said around 75 percent of the Donetsk region's 3 million or so eligible voters cast ballots, and the vast majority backed self-rule.

#143 "Putin your JC???"

#151 "Just stating putin has a messianic complex, not you."

Oh sure, now try a weasel lie to try and avoid the fact that you very clearly implied Putin was my "JC".

You're a fine example of a good Christian, you can't even stammer out some half-A** trash about how you were just upset and shouldn't have implied that standing up for Christ is anything other than what it clearly is. No, no, weasel weasel, that's what Christ would do, right?

What the Hell do you mean "what's that tagline mean", have you read the Bible or just the koran? Christ wins, that's leading Christians to victory.

I suppose you're among those who think Christ is coming back to knock down crosses and kill the Christians and Jews?

Well you are using Christ for you argument.

and his first coming wasn’t to be a conquerer in the
sense you portray, but to save my soul,

your guy still thinks he is general with messianic complex.

And what party line am I supporting by supporting UKraine,
sure not any parties here in US as they are all helping
putin, ‘’’ flexibility’’’ you know.

Those of us that want putin and green men and you trolls
out of Ukraine are only about .5% of the whole world.
Hardly a party... not enough to even use up a bowl of dip.

Polling for the Maiden before the violence began was always around 50/50 overall for Ukraine. Only 20-30% supported the Maidan in the East and were Yanukovych supporters.

However the outrage over Yanukovych's house, which revealed the depths of his corruption changed the mind of most Yanu voters. It basically killed him politically. You can see this clearly if you trawled through the posts and tweets back then.

Case example. Remember the Party of Regions mayor of Kharkiv that was shot? Hennady Kernes. He was one of the most pro-Yanu mayors out there in the East. He was against Maidan and dispatched people to Kiev to disperse them.

Yet when his corruption was fully revealed, and Putin took advantage, he exposed and condemned the Russian infiltrators and did everything he could to keep Ukraine united. And he was shot in the back for it. Every poll now shows that even the East would prefer to remain in Ukraine.

Here's Yanukovych's house again, which looks more like a theme park with a zoo and a river with a giant wooden boat.

‘’at this point the better of two evils’’

When they got rid of Yanu-asshole and his people that
got rid of 2/3 of the corruption. His bunch took 80 billion
half of which went to russia.

Yeah, but the problem is Yulia Tymoshenko has been released. She is going to run for election, she is going to bank on her connections and the billions of her oligarch friends, and she will almost certainly win.

Mark me on that. She’s almost as corrupt as Yanukovych, the Hillary of Ukraine. She was the oligarchs preferred choice for the 2010 election you know, and many voted for Yanu just to make sure Yulia didn’t win. Completely in with the oligarchs and even Putin took a liking to her.

The Ukrainian oligarchs are the real cancer here. Just look at all the oligarchs that have been appointed Governors by the transitional government, how they have been doing everything to make the current government even more beholden on them than before.

They and their political pawns must be removed before freedom and prosperity can truly bloom in Ukraine.

Polls I saw she is below most all others.
Not as bad as Hilly, would have rescued guys Libya..

What was so bad about her?, when putee shut of
the gas in winter few years ago, she went
and got him to turn it on.

And the reason she was jailed is a setup done by
Yannu and russians a frame up. Info is in the almost
300 page thread in the AR political forums.
(AR- Accurate Reloading}. Main poster there is in
EU, and probably will be 25th election observer.Ed

About the oligarchs left if they keep most of Ukraine
together, and out of putees hands, most will be quite
a bit poorer, as many of them are funding the
rebuilding of Ukraines armaments and army
amd guard units. Serves them right for letting
the defense establishment go south.. Ed

Maybe you are right. I just checked the latest polls myself and it seems Poroshenko has surged ahead of her. I’m a bit skeptical though, since he’s a billionaire oligarch too, although Klitschko did endorse him. That helps. A little. But most Ukrainians remember what a disappointment Yushchenko was.

And Yulia has many shady connections that are well documented, and she also has somehow become rich herself in the process. She did nothing in Yushchenko’s administration along with Poroshenko. We shall see, although billionaire oligarchs running against each other and being appointed to key government positions doesn’t really assuage my suspicions.

I just hope it doesn’t turn out like the Orange Revolution did.

Yeah, I have to admit it’s a bit humorous to see them running around trying to save their money and assets from Putin and their Russian counterparts.
They know the gravy train is over if Putin succeeds. Hopefully, either way the gravy train will be over for them.

Breaking now on Twitter: Liberal Democratic Party of Russia leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky crashed the Ukraine Border, and arrived in Lugansk in the last couple of hours. He presented the Lugansk separatists with this armored vehicle: What is the story on this guy??

"Well you are using Christ for you argument."

I'm using your own words to point out that you think nothing of attacking someone who is proud enough of being Christian to put the name of Christ in their tagline of worshiping Putin as part of your BS games.

Like I said, a Christian wouldn't think accusing someone who is clearly proud of Christ and praising Christ in their tagline of worshiping Putin. It came instantly to your mind to try and slander someone who doesn't agree with you, though, without so much as a, "get thee behind me Satan" between your pea brain and your keyboard.

More on Zhirinovsky:

He made a big splash on Wed., showing reporters this Hummer-like Tiger truck, and saying he was donating it to the Lugansk Separatists.

Late tonight/early this morning he apparently crashed the Ukraine border, and is now in Lugansk, with the truck.

I would think Kiev would LOVE to get their hands on this guy.

Well said. I have some very good friends in Russia & believe they would agree with your assessment. And, in essence, WE are at least responsible, ti some degree, for the “new corruption” of who they call “New Russians” Thenew crop of very young millionaires who got wealthy during the rampant corruption period after The Wall fell. Russians believe Putin has been doing his best to try & reign in corruption & claim it is getting much better.
