DONETSK, Ukraine -- Ninety percent of voters in a key industrial region in eastern Ukraine came out in favor of sovereignty Sunday, pro-Russian insurgents said in announcing preliminary results of a twin referendum that is certain to deepen the turmoil in the country.
Roman Lyagin, election chief of the self-styled Donetsk People's Republic, said around 75 percent of the Donetsk region's 3 million or so eligible voters cast ballots, and the vast majority backed self-rule.

You want me to disbelieve polls that show a majority of Ukrainians of whatever ethnicity in the East and South do not want to be annexed... so I can believe a poll by thugs and killers who have been "disappearing" people for weeks now, and who walk around with machine guns and have backup from mysterious heavily armed men in green uniforms. And none of that is BS either. We know people are going missing because people talk about it, fearing that they'll be next.

I'm not sure what you accuse me of "denying." Your wording would have us believe that the Interim government of Ukraine is openly hostile to the Russian language. Aside from maybe the Kremlin-controlled links, do you have anything that shows that the law was passed or, if it was vetoed as a matter of fact, what the Interim government has actually prnounced to do in protection of the Russian language? Be honest now, let's see how you do.

If you want me to believe that every poll in out there is part of a conspiracy, why should I believe the poll conducted by armed thugs who are terrorizing the populace?
