Agreed.

And my omission is even more shameful when you realise that my maternal aunt’s father in law is a Pole, who fought the Nazis and settled here in bonnie Scotland in 1946.

Saved is a bit OTT, but I fully get your point.

More recent UK documentaries and books on the BoB rightly focus on the fact that many RAF pilots in the battle came from Norway and France to S Africa and Rhodesia, Poland and Czechslovakia to America and Canada.
