What those side with Kiev can’t defend is its repression in the East.
The Ukies say the referendums in Donetsk and Lugansk will have “no legal consequences.” But they do send a moral and a political message.
The Maidan regime is viewed as illegitimate by over half the population. It and its Western backers can brush off today’s vote as illegitimate all they want.
But what is clear is Ukraine is headed for a breakup if they do not soon come to their senses.
Ukraine will not break up easily unless you believe the pervasive Russian disinformation. One recent article mentioned a car that was stopped and searched that already had thousands of ballots already stamped in favor of separation.
The interim government’s use of the army has been one of the factors that has thrown a kink into Putin’s plans. A woman from Luhansk who returned from vacation saw that the local drunks and criminals now have AK47s. What we’re seeing is a criminal enterprise, the Russian government, reacting to the debacle of their partners in crime, the previous Ukrainian administration headed by Yanukovych.
Another KGB Putin troll literally spitting out the Putin talking points word for word !
What is it like to lie and spread misinformation for a America hating KGB agent .
Everything Obama touches ends up in misery and conflict.
Why would anyone expect this to end any differently??
The cities have a larger percentage of Russians than the surrounding Oblasts. If the voting is honest there is a good chance that the referendums may lose even though they win in the cities. As to repression, what repression? Repression of professional thugs?
