Ruse didn't refute Bannons point but claimed instead that Pope Francis is not looking to end capitalism, but rather send a message to the world that everyone can do more for his neighbor.Continuous improvement.

Pope Francis is not looking to end capitalism, but rather send a message to the world that everyone can do more for his neighbor. I believe in leadership by example. When the church empties its expansive treasuries, THEN they'll have the moral authority to speak on this topic.
Until then, nothing but hollow words.

It's OK to feed, clothe, and gospellize the unwillingly destitute, but we must be careful not to become codependents with prodigal rakehells in their squandering of hard-earned resources, eh?
Remember the prodigal son, who reformed only when his support was cut off.
And who is going to be the judge of one's real need? The federal governments?
Francis?

There’s that. And then there’s this: Here in the States, “legitimate redistribution of economic benefits by the State” could include our governments, for example, selling off land excess to what they really need. And not to put too fine a point of it, there’s a lot of land they really don’t need to own.
