Darn it, I want one-day voting, with the same poll hours across all time zones, I want proof of residency requirement; I want voter ID and I want the voter to prove he is a citizen in order to get it. I want the voting age raised back up to 21. I want the voter to be compis mentis; able to read, write and speak English, and to demonstrate basic understanding of how our country works and what he is voting for or against. Is that really too much to ask?

Not enough, erkelly. Voters must prove they are not sucking the government teat before being allowed to vote. If you’re a parasite mooch, no vote for you. Unless you are retired and are lawfully drawing against the Social Security you paid into for decades.

No, sir! I'm on board with this.

Libs argued during 'Nam that if an 18 could be drafted they should have the right to vote. Fair enough.

We no longer have the draft so the requirement should go back to 21

Voter ID and proof of residency should be the bare minimum.

Nope.

It’s not.

At least you didn’t require voters to be land owners.

:)

[but maybe you should]

Me too. I want one day voting - Saturdays. Polls close at 7 pm eastern, 6 pm central, 5pm mountain, etc - no extensions. Either you get there or you don’t. Ballots all in English. Yep, raise the voting age. Raise it to 25. Childhood last longer these days.

Of course that’s too much to ask for, how do you expect Democrats to get the dead vote if you have Voter ID?

I'd ask for more...

* Purging the rolls of the deceased
* Some sort of Insta-check to make sure the voter isn't a fellon
* Poll watchers brought to all Senior Homes, etc were the Dem's have been playing games for years.
* Can we check that someone isn't voting in FLA and NY, another DNC trick that has been going on far too long with Snow Birder's and College Kids.

But Marxi-crats will lose elections if they did that.

A better and simpler solution is to institute eligibility based on income or general net worth.

If you have non-parasitic income,i.e. income higher than the welfare moocher rate, you have already earned the benefit of doubt you are a value added member of society. For all with income same as or less than the parasitic rate, you must prove that you have not received any gubmint benefit. Only then you have EARNED your voting privileges.

No exceptions. Tough s##t, otherwise.
