The arrest of Paul Weston, an anti-immigration campaigner in England, for repeating Winston Churchill’s unflattering observations about Islam in a public speech has been reported around the world with headlines from the US to Russia to Japan. Weston, who leads a small party called LibertyGB, was bundled into a police van outside the Guildhall in the town of Winchester, after being arrested for suspected racial harassment.
It is a shocking event because to many people overseas, Britain is still a country where there is freedom of speech. But the Weston arrest is only the latest in a series of incidents that show that the British state’s gloves are coming off and police are coming down hard on anti-immigration campaigners — and they are not being too scrupulous about how they go about it, as the shocking arrests in of Clive Jefferson and Dawn Charlton in Cumbria last summer showed.
The two British National Party activists were both standing for local council elections in the town of Maryport and looked like giving the local Labour Party a run for their money, as both had been elected before and were popular figures. But Labour were playing dirty and when the BNP pair discovered evidence of vote tampering in Allerdale Council they filed a 22-page dossier to the police...

There is no freedom of speech in England and never has been. I lived there 5 years and have been on numerous travels before and after. England is the worlds oldest third world country, now overrun by musselmans, the latest to occupy the hapless country. We fought two wars against them for good reasons. Unfortunately, freedom of speech in this republic is also in danger, hanging by a thread.
Sorry but I don’t understand what you have written. Many European Jews are terrified by Islamic immigration into England and France, among other countries.
It is the marxist/socialist Left that is deceiving people into supporting it, and this Left goes across all religious groups.
They are behind a lot of the anti-semitism and anti-Israel demonstrations and disinformation, esp. in France and the Netherlands.
All I was saying in my comment was that I had some suspicions and worries about who was behind the article as I wasn’t acquainted with the original source but the ad for Mearsheimer raised some antenna.

95.4% of the UK is NOT Muslim. Three parts of the UK have less than 1% Muslim populations.
“Operation motive” - not exactly very subtle is it?
This kind of thing, erosion of personal freedom of speech - is the inevitable result of "hate laws". How can they not be? A hate law basically calls for value judgements on motive. Assaulting someone is bad. Assaulting them because you dislike their gender, sexuality, culture or racial background is somehow worse. Slandering someone is bad, and can lead to criminal prosecution, but slandering someone because they are asian, black, gay or whatever is somehow worse?
In such a circumstance obviously people are going to push for a crime to be labeled as a "hate crime", because the punishment is going to be more severe (and any compensation duly greater). More dangerously, any criticism of someone can now be completely deflected by labeling it "hateful".
Its only an alliance of convenience though.
Dont think thats going to save you. Just remember, the left are in it long term. They’ll slowly gnaw away at US attitudes to ownership of firearms.

I would suggest to you however that there are more and more signs and polls indicating the left has shot it’s wad with millenials on the heels of no jobs, living with mom and dad, worthless degree in hand, personal debt, school debt, national debt, Obamacare, IRS, NSA, Fast & Furious, Benghazi, Syria, Ukraine, you can keep your health care, you can keep your doctor, and so on ad nauseum.
So, while your comment is a possibility, I think there is reason for hope that long term “The Left” will destroy itself. On guns they are losing battle after battle all over the U.S., ...............recently.
Arguably too, “The Right” has woken up after a 50 year nap!
