That's the strategy:

1. The House Democrats won't participate in the Committee's investigation.

2. The White House and State Department won't cooperate with the Committee's efforts and will refuse to respond to their subpoenas.

The resultant dispute will involve the courts, naturally. But the 1st Circuit is a mixed bag and not necessarily reliable in what amounts to an open and shut case of Executive Department lawlessness.

So, how should Gowdy and the Republican House respond to the situation...???

By sending the Sgt at arms out to round up and jail non compliers as is the lay/constitutional authority.

Are there not penalties for obstruction of justice and interfering with legal procedures ?
