It's time for a 2nd Party, my FRiend. What you and I or anyone else thinks about it is beside the point; it's not up to us, it's like trying to stop an incoming wave at the beach. Unless there's a way, way wild miracle in the next two years, the GOP nominee will be either Romney, or someone as essentially on-board with the Democrat agenda of state-run everything, working with the Democrats to make the vision work.

Americans want to vote FOR the opposite. They need a 2nd Party. Truly a SECOND party, at its base a Second Amendment party, because the right to keep and bear arms is an issue that unites Democrats as passionate as Republicans, and lots of folks between. Americans are sick of government and they want to vote for hacking it back and restoring rights and freedoms.

Right now is the time to be discussing and arguing the merits and possibilities of a plurality goal in the presidential race.

All we can hope for at this point is that people vote their principles. Most wont. Most are too comfortable with their material goods to risk anything so radical and violent an act as checking a box for a non GOP candidate. So we are screwed. There simply not enough of us left with the guts to wield a pencil in anger.

I will never not vote. If I have to I will write my own name in since I’m the only person I trust implicitly. But the reality is that most self proclaimed conservatives are in reality situational ethicists that will keep voting for their own ‘free sXit’. They don’t call it that, but that’s what it is. The freedom to think they are saving the country by electing liberals. the freedom to mock those who won’t without fear. The free back pats from fellow travelers who don’t believe the things they say online either...Lots of Free.

Personally I won’t ‘give up’ in the sense that I will fight to the end. But I do it knowing that we lost this one ourselves. The libs didn’t win it. And we will not regain it in our lifetime. Perhaps our grandkids, when faced with a 1776 situation will remember the America their grandparents threw away and take up the fight to reclaim it.
