From what I’ve read, the commander who was killed, was pro-Kiev, went to the city of Donetsk with Ukraine military, and was forcing the local police to fire on the pro-Russian civilizians. The local police refused, so the Ukraine military killed some police and burned down the police building. So the pro-Russians (labeled terrorists) killed him and mutilated his dead body.
It’s difficult to follow the thread on TB in some ways because there are news tweets and news articles from all over the propaganda spectrum, so one needs to know which “side” is reporting.
I doubt if the eye gouging was done by Tatars since they are on the pro-Kiev side, or at least against the pro-Russians. But at this point it is certainly within the realm of possibility that Tatars could have done this so as to pin it on the pro-Russian citizens.
Did you see the speech of one pro-Kiev governer praising Hitler as the great liberator, and citizens being outraged? One young woman holding a baby went up by herself to confront him and tried to throw his microphone away. It’s on that TB thread.
