Yes, I’ve done that as well...especially when things are moving right along...but I recall on the Egyptian thread there were those who would cross check and it worked very well ...I think there were several who if something didn’t seem right or needed to be clarified kind enough to make it known. So don’t be too hard on yourself....
Especially....since the article WAS being presented to make it appear as if present day news......though I do visit some of the foreign reporter sites I understand their bias and am careful (usually) to take that into account in HOW they Frame their reporting.
This is why photos and videos are good ...eventually they bring together a “picture” of truth regardless of how either side might present their report. And you get to tell what ones are photoshopped or altered as well.
I messed up posting an old photo when they shot down the helicopter.....many did post that very picture unfortunately....but the FACT was they indeed did take a helicopter down..so in cases as that I don’t fret over a wrong photo...because the right one gets posted soon enough, and did not alter the fact.
