What you said. The final straw to break the camel's back was the The Summit Preserve. Though the porperty was donated to BSA back around 2010, it requires tons of $$$ to develop it into the high adventure base and training site they want. Scouters who have been out to the National HQ in Irving, TX, report on the internet that BSA National is gradually "turning out the lights" in its HQ office, i.e., thinning the herd.
