Ben Sasse, the Nebraska Republican gunning for a U.S. Senate seat, may have a bit of a liberal streak when it comes to issues such as immigration, according to a new Inquisitr op-ed, which accuses the candidate of creating a "facade to cover up glaring shortcomings."
As of last week, polls showed the 42-year-old president of Midland University leading in the race for the Senate seat left vacant by Republican incumbent Mike Johanns. But with the primary less than a week away, some feel that Sasse may be secretly harboring liberal stances.

This is simply another bogus hit piece attacking Sasse. It is filled to the brim with unsubstantiated innuendo and is simply trying to spread FUD (Fear, Uncertainty & Doubt) among Sasse’s supporters. It’s a futile, last-minute attempt to prop up the phony “hero” Shane Osborn’s failing campaign.
He was on Mark Levin’s show earlier today.
He has a real chance per ML.
He gave a glaring example of how his opponent, whom he was reluctant to name (stated he has not run one negative ad) took an anti bo care statement out of context, completely changing the meaning, making Sasse look liberal, which he is not.
He must be over the target.
I smell McConnell.
