Is this going to include her personal email accounts?
No. When you work for any government agency....you get a personalized gov’t account, which connects to your division account, and if on any projects....a project-related account. The personal stuff (like Yahoo)...don’t fall into this category.
I will say this....in an average year (having been in gov’t employment)...there’s probably about 6,000 emails as a minimum coming into or out of your account. A quarter are about division parties, security threats, flowers for some employee who passed on, etc. And another quarter will be about meetings, their times, cancellations, or results of the meeting.....which tend to be of zero value.
If she’s assigned a Blackberry....then you could figure she’s looking and responding to emails....twenty-four hours a day....seven days a week.....and it’s bound to get up around 10,000 emails for an entire year.
And I would add this....I can remember in 1992....when the Air Force was first stepping into emails...and I might have gotten a max of seven emails a month. Imagine going back 1989, with zero emails, and all correspondence was done by typewriter, and you spent three hours developing a one-page response, with proper verbs, nouns, and cited all correspondence.
They still haven’t got to the bottom of the former head of the EPA and her private email accounts.
