My electric co-op sends out little brochures with the bills- you know, those things hardly anybody reads. But I do.

I was amazed to see how virulent they are against the global warning and carbon stuff. They write very strongly about electric rates rising severely. I wish more people read the stuff.

Our investor owned utility, PG&E, does the exact opposite. They try to convince you to use LESS of their product every year and to install enormously expensive solar on your house. Screw ‘em! Just produce enough electricity day and night to satisfy the demands of the residential, commercial and industrial customers — that’s all we ask.

My electric coop said the same thing. Of course they had to be politically correct so they said (at the annual meeting) that they would do their best to incorporate small amounts of alternatives into the mix while trying to keep a lid on rates. In Virginia wind and solar stink so they are even more correct about that than say Arizona or Texas.
