I was not referring to the containment device which if it works and should being basically a large subsea tree without all the production connections but rather to the two Afromax tankers that are to be rapidly converted to FPSOs in the event the well pressure needs to be reduced by flowing oil&gas to a separation train in order to keep the oil and gas from going around the well casing like it did on Macondo. Those FPSO conversions were to be ready in 18 months although spin has reduced that to just the capping stacks. Whether you can bring in an Afromax tanker and install two complete separation trains and get them working on a well has not been proved. The vessels are having the equipment installed now in Texas and then it will all have to be removed stored and maintained in case it needs to be reinstalled if a well blows out.

I do not agree that was the plan. They are for the next stage, not the first. The cap was the original step.
The FPSO should be completed this year.
