Global warming is changing the daily lives of Americans and will only get worse, according to a government report released Tuesday.
"Corn producers in Iowa, oyster growers in Washington state, and maple syrup producers in Vermont are all observing climate-related changes that are outside of recent experience," the 1,100-page National Climate Assessment report stated.
"So, too, are coastal planners in Florida, water managers in the arid Southwest, city dwellers from Phoenix to New York, and native peoples on tribal lands from Louisiana to Alaska," the NCA report read.
The White House is expected to use the report as a basis to try to reduce the emissions of fossil fuels like coal, gas, and oil.
But Republicans and some Democrats have opposed many of those moves in the past, saying they cost jobs and hurt businesses.
Nevertheless, President Barack Obama said he'll use executive orders to accomplish his goals.
Instead, the new research suggests that the dominant cause of the Greenland glaciation was the fall from high atmospheric carbon dioxide levels to levels closer to that of pre-industrial times. Today concentrations are approaching the levels that existed while Greenland was mostly ice-free.
Dr Alan Haywood from the University of Leeds added: “So why did elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations fall to levels similar to the pre-industrial era? That is the million dollar question which researchers will no doubt be trying to answer during the next few years.”

If they are right, China and India won’t stop polluting, so we’re toast. Party on.
If they’re wrong, we aren’t changing the climate. Party on.
Conclusion: Party on.
“What about when theyre dumb enough to buy even that?”
That’s even better.
Let them repeat it to someone else.
The reason they are loosing believers in man made global warming is their statements have become more and more outrageous such as meteorites are because of global warming.
The more outrageous the statements get to keep the true believers happy, the more people will recognize only a complete nut would believe it.
Get creative. Just make the wildest crap up you can.
There’s no reason, except being PC, you can’t have fun at a nuts expense.
As much as a clear and present danger as the eventual burnout of the sun. The fact that these people think we can have any meaningful effect on the temperature of our planet is just complete arrogance.
Many have pointed out that you can fit all the people in the world, with their own fifth acre lot into the US from about Kansas east.
Yet another thing to focus on like a laser. Look- SQUIRREL!!!
This is proof that if there really was a crisis, then we would have a duty to force the issue with China and India, even if it means threatening them with war if they don't stop polluting.
Don't see that happening any time soon ...
Obama said he’ll use executive orders to accomplish his goals.
Decoded: His Frisco pal promised 100 million for the mid term election if he pimps their green plan.
Keep buying those electric cars, so you can demand more electricity.
How much will it cost states to install plug in stations everywhere in every state???
“EOs over what? Is he going to order the summer stop being hot and the winters stop being cold?”
AND, he’s going to ‘lower’ the oceans along with it. Though when this is all over, there will not even be a rock he, and his minions can hide under.
Lord, Come quickly.
