You rock Mr. Massie. Keep telling it how it is and a few will be converted to the "right" way of thinking.

Calling man-made climate change “science” was to test the limits of the gullibility of the public.

You can add salt to this (for those that don’t have a specific issue with salt management), and transfats to the other side of it.

Not to mention the whole food pyramid thing, as well as the BMI body fat content (while 20% or more into obese weights is bad, optimum appears to be 5-10% into it, which means the whole scale is way off).

Besides the American epidemics of wheat belly, overweight and type 2 Diabetes which are probably directly related to the push to make Americans eat more carbohydrates, these high carb diets may be destroying our brains, causing more senility, depression, possibly Parkinson’s disease, and other devastating/debility CNS problems.

The book linked below, “Grain Brain” is written by a boarded neurologist and highlights the danger of the high carb low fat diets pushed by our liberal doctors and their liberal medical schools.

David Perlmutter,
Kristin Loberg

Renowned neurologist David Perlmutter, MD, blows the lid off a topic that’s been buried in medical literature for far too long: carbs are destroying your brain. And not just unhealthy carbs, but even healthy ones like whole grains can cause dementia, ADHD, anxiety, chronic headaches, depression, and much more.

The anti-fat crusade was always about making the upper classes and upper middle class feel even more superior to the rest of us, i.e. those who can afford the time and money for a gym membership and/or personal trainer.

I note with considerable schadenfreude the number of blown knees and ruined hips among the well-exercised, who can look forward not only to getting as fat as the rest of us in late middle age when they can no longer exercise, but will also do so in considerably more pain.

"A friend forwarded me a Wall Street Journal article on a study published in the March issue of the journal Annals of Internal Medicine pursuant to 'the dubious science behind the anti-fat crusade.'"

Not just that, but take out "anit-fat crusade" and substitute "climate change", "gay gene", "the glass ceiling", "increased minimum wage", "comprehensive immigration reform", and so on, and it would still apply.

The American Sheeple are suckers for anything that's on the TV -- so-called news or entertainment. If we don't figure out ow to counter the iron death grip the Left has had on the media for decades (by either creating our own, or buying control of the music, movie, TV, cable and professional sports industries) there will be no future once Generation.com assumes control. Hell, we'll be lucky to survive Generation X.

The statin drugs are over prescribed, cost a ton of money each year in drugs and lab tests re their possible damage to our bodies.

The side effects are bad for male patients and may be worse for female patients.

Our doctors have been so brow beaten with “Use the Statins” basically on everyone over 40-50, they failing to check out the patients’s personal genetic history re early heart attacks/strokes. Even, if the patient in their 60-80’s tell them that no siblings, parents, grandparents and related uncles and aunts have had an early heart attack. So the average doctor is so brow beaten by the elite medical communities, he often will try to force the Statins on everyone.

Barbara H. Roberts MD, who is a prominent expert in this field. Dr. Roberts is director of the Women’s Cardiac Center at the Miriam Hospital in Providence, R.I. and associate clinical professor of medicine at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She has written a hugely interesting book, “The Truth About Statins”.

Dr. Roberts shreds the so called scientific evidence that supposedly justify’s putting anyone on the drugs without a personal history of CV impairment and any genetic history of cardiac problems with parents, siblings, blood related aunts/uncles/cousins and grandparents.

Do a search on “The Truth about Statins”. Her book is available from Amazon and other sites.
