David Remnick, an Obama biographer and the editor of the New Yorker, said this morning on national TV that President Obama is disappointed in the world:
(Remnick on Morning Joe)
"The profile [of President Obama] that I published in the New Yorker was somebody that eerily, eerily seemed to be claiming himself--it was a sense of not giving up, but of deep frustration--that was the profile that I published in the New Yorker. Somebody frustrated and disappointed," said Remnick, who has proven to be deeply sympathetic to this president.
"And that's what's frustrating to me sometimes about Obama is that the world seems to disappoint him," he continued to laughter from others on the TV set. "Republicans disappoint him, Bashar al-Assad disappoints him, Putin as well. And the fighting spirit sometimes is lacking in the performative aspects of the presidency."
But that hasn't kept Remnick from souring on Obama. "Do I think that at the end of eight years this will go down as a terrible presidency? I don't. You do. I don't. I think an enormous amount has been achieved."

With Obama, I see no one who would be willing to pay him to come to their company/forum just to hear him read a speech from a teleprompter that was written by someone else. Obama simply has no value to give.
Flash back to his graduation from Harvard. As head of the Harvard Law Review, he should have had his choice of jobs clerking for US Appellate judges or even a stint at the SCOTUS. At the very least, a 6-figure salary at a prestigious Manhattan law firm. Yet Obama did not get a single offer. That should tell you something about his value.
Obama is too lazy to write a book.
Think Al "Lemme Tell You 'Bout Global Warming" Gore. Gore made a fortune by selling garbage to people, who desperately wanted to believe in it.
“I think an enormous amount has been achieved.”
Is this an empty dodge, or does Remnick detail exactly what?
It would be instructive to see what the true believers consider achievements.
Truly, and yes, I had no expectations of him.
I would say this is common with extreme narcissists.
Obama strikes me as a lazy, disengaged guy who’s been carried by affirmative action his whole life and never has had to run anything. It would take a very high-energy character to do the work needed to make up for his lack of knowledge and experience, and Obama just doesn’t want to do the work. That he’s also a leftist is a given. Maybe I’m relieved that he’s at least a lazy leftist. It could be worse.
Kinda reminds you of ALL of them, doesn’t it?
I agree. None of it is good, but Obama has inflicted an enormous amount of damage on our country. I pray that we will be able to recover.
What really disappointed him was that the world did not immediately make him king.
Ditto with the insane. They think what is wrong with the world? They just dont understand me.
