Cinco de mayo isn’t even mexican independence day. It is a celebration of a single battle defeating the french at puebla. Nowhere in mexico celebrates it except puebla and maybe the us border towns. Even in puebla, where I am sitting right now this minute it is not that big of a deal. Mexican independence is sept 16
