He was Secretary of Transportation, or a similar post.
The “crash” was in a northern Mediterrean country, only one woman survived with a minor leg wound, but arrived dead when the rescue helicopter landed.
Ron A - - - ? had a bullet-sized hole in the back of his head, as can be seen in FR’s archives.
All were cremated, before arriving back in the USA, counter to US Air Force procedures.
