A Nevada congressman is calling on elected officials in the state to rid a town in his district of militia members who have rallied around rancher Cliven Bundy in his battle with federal land managers.
Rep. Steven Horsford, in an address to the Clark County Democratic Convention in Las Vegas on Saturday, said hes making the request after hearing more complaints from constituents about the presence of Bundy supporters near Bunkerville, 75 miles northeast of Las Vegas.
In encampments around the Bundy ranch, self-described militia members from around the country continue to camp with handguns on their hips and heavier weaponry within reach in a show of support for Bundy.
Bundy, a states rights advocate who refuses to acknowledge the authority of the federal government, owes more than $1 million in fees and penalties for letting his cattle use government land over the past 20 years. Last month, the Bureau of Land Management stopped trying to round up his cattle after a showdown with hundreds of Bundy supporters, some of them armed.

Try it, Obamahole.
How can anyone in his district claim to feel threatened when no threats have been made?

he is also a Reid buddy.
Dear Stephen, people in hell want ice water too....
The story doesn’t name who the three concerned “constituents” are.
Hate to ask the obvious but has he cited any laws that he claims are being broken? Last I knew it wasn’t a crime to camp out, or to have guns.
Oh, yeah, he’s just a Congressman...why would he understand the law?
Notice NO names, NO dates, NO locations where these alleged crimes happened.
I will say if they are true then shame on the militias and QUIT it!
A Reid rump-swab.
Bundy needs to turn half his business into a dude ranch.
They're the same ones who,a couple of years ago, told Dirty Harry that Romney hadn't paid income taxes for ten years.
Trying to establish a free association zone, kinda like the 1st amendment zone that the BLM tried to do.
Over the years, citizens have hesitated far too much when it comes to removing corrupt politicians. It’s time to reverse that trend!
I would imagine these are just some "complaints" and not affidavits or anybody appearing in a public forum. How come the mainscream media isn't airing these "complaints"? Lord knows they would if they could.
This could get interesting...
What would the government do, and expect to get away with???
If I were there, I would be hard pressed to jay walk, spit on the sidewalk, or give law enforcement ANY reason to carry out any, for lack of a better term, “deportations”...
Since obviously, the influx of illegals have not been addressed, I guess if we are all throwing out the net far and wide, we might as well keep pointing that government failure publically...
If he is going to declare war on patriots, it's time for the patriots to declare war on him.
Time for investigations into EVERYTHING he has ever done.
Time to do to him and others like him, what was done to Palin.
Attack him and make him defend EVERYTHING.
I’ll bet you’re right.
Bundy and his friends have the 1st Amendment-protected right to peacefully assemble.
So what am I overlooking?
I would think the nearest small towns are more than happy with the increase in business.
