I think you're right. The Democrats are afraid of what might come out if there is a serious investigation (damaging both to Obama and to the Crown Princess Hillary), so they figure if they refuse to cooperate the media will paint it as a purely partisan Republican effort which can be ignored completely or treated as a minor story while they direct the public's attention elsewhere.
The Obama administration should have turned over the "smoking gun" e-mail a long time ago, and now that it is public, they are getting minimal criticism for failing to produce it earlier. So they are likely to continue to refuse to produce evidence.

Best way for the Pubs to counteract the Dems refusal to be on the Select Committee is to ask, " Why are you so afraid of asking hard questions? Do you fear the answers will reveal an inconvenient truth?"
And, also:
Is it really just 'playing politics' to ask why no one in the White House or the State Department tried to rescue an Ambassador under attack?
Or why the families of the dead Americans were told by our Secretary of State that the producer of a VIDEO and not the perpetrators of a terrorist attack would be brought to justice!

What I want to know is if this boycott shoukd happen (and it’s not a bad strategy) what will Boehner do?
In that event, could it even be a success at all without bipartisan participation, or will it bury the Republicans in a partisan carnival right before the midterms? I dunno...?
