Nonsense. Attempted forced entry of a dwelling known to be occupied. At O'Dark hundred. Imminent threat defined. There's not a cop in that town that would have said to themselves, "Oh, maybe the shadowy figure standing before me is unarmed." And, held fire when a furtive movement was detected. I survived two such incidents in my life. Both times, the perps knew somebody was home and awake, as they tried to force their way in. Always a sign that the perp seeks and anticipates physical violence with an occupant. Armed or unarmed. Makes no difference. Somebody's going to get hurt or killed.

If it wasn’t for all the B.S. surrounding the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin trial I don’t believe charges would have ever been filed. It’s all political.
