With bhut jolokia and trinidad scorpions in the house, it’s gloves, mask and goggles.
I have yet to obtain either of those peppers but I know someone who would eat them if I did. When pulling those dried XXX green chiles off of the drying wires one seed popped off and, naturally, avoided the lens of my glasses and went straight into my eye. Most intense 20 minutes of pain I’ve ever experienced.
