Yes, you did cite Cruz, and I find his win highly encouraging.

However, your blatant attempt to tar me as a “fringe” candidate supporter is stupid. I would hope it would be beneath you, but the evidence says otherwise.

I would also note that a one-state candidate can much more easily push through the establishment’s desires. By the time Kansas held its presidential primaries, there was no chance for anyone but Romney to win.

I wonder if those who are objecting to Jeb Bush will be faced with the same diatribes after he is the latest moderate to lose for the GOP? I certainly wouldn’t bet against it!

You are part of the problem, and you screech that anyone who doesn’t jettison their principles at the altar of the GOPe is the one who is wrong.

Once again, good luck with that.

No Senor, I fight the “my guy” fight at the proper place, the Primary! In the POTUS general election its either win or lose, you either ACTIVELY vote for one or PASSIVELY vote for the other. Sitting out the election was passively voting for nobama, plain and simple.

Politics is always some level of compromise, the only purity where folks can get their way is in some place like Iran. In democratic (I know, we are a Representative Republic) countries sometimes, maybe most of the time, do not get the best leader from those that run, but sometimes we get a Washington or a Reagan.

I totally agree that staggered Primaries do not necessarily serve well at picking the real cream of the crop. Maybe we should all have Primaries on the same day.

One very big reason we ended up with Romney was due to those stupid “sound byte, Gotcha” debates, which were really not debates at all. Being realistic and faced with how someone comes across on TV is also a reality and is life and death the way our general elections have evolved.

One thing I would propose to help out in Primaries would be to require all candidates to produce a minimum of 15% (verifiable voter signature petition) to get on the Primary ballot or on the debate stage. This way fringe candidates are not allowed to muddy the water or pull some “gotcha” stunt.

In 2016, I can guarantee you that Jeb will not do well in the Texas Primary!

I just got a great idea, there is no argument that Texas is the leader when it comes to standing up for Liberty and Freedom, how about Texas do our Primary first and the other States Primary from whomever finishes in our top 3?
