An attorney representing the woman Donald Sterling was talking to when he made racist remarks said Thursday that the hour-long conversation was taped by mutual agreement last September and provided to a friend for safekeeping, who then leaked it to TMZ.
V. Stiviano sent two snippets of the conversation, recorded in her Los Angeles duplex, to a friend who released them without her permission, lawyer Siamak Nehoray said. He would not identify the friend.

You think someone did this to get the commissioner of basketball? So far, it backfired.
Very interesting indeed.
Unicorn skittles!
It is called friendship.
You can than me later when you don’t catch the skanks std’s
V. Stiviano apparently doesn't want to go to jail, but, at best, probably has the future of a Kennedy girlfriend.
Taped by mutual agreement and kept?
I find this dubious.
All I know is Jay-Z recently said some mighty racist things that make this tape pale in comparison, and he is part owner of an NBA team.
Why is nobody bringing this up. Is it because he is protected by his skin color?
I’ve wondered about this girl.
So many questions aren’t being talked about in the media, such as :
1. Who is this girl?
2. Who is paying her bills?
3. What does she do for a living?
4. What is her connection to Sterling?
5. What is her connection to Magic Johnson?
6. Why was she making tapes?
7. Were these tapes made legally, or were any disclosure laws violated?
8. Who exactly is this friend who leaked the tapes?
9. Did that person have anything to gain by the tapes being made public?
10. Were the tapes part of an extortion or blackmail scheme against Sterling? And were they then released when the scheme failed?
11. Even though this girl Stiviano says she didn’t release the tapes, was she in on a scheme to blackmail Sterling?
12. Why did Stiviano legally change her name?
The media dug more deeply into Joe the Plumber than they have dug into the story behind this girl.
If she was really involved in a “sugar daddy” type of relationship with Sterling, I think she needs to find a new one now. Or else, she might actually have to go work for a living.
MEGA DITTOS TO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, that’s it.
In today’s politically correct world, members of officially recognized grievance groups, such as blacks and homosexuals, are not held to the same standards as the rest of us.
So, someone such as Jay Z or Spike Lee can say things that are blatantly racist, if said by a white person.
For that matter, blacks are allowed to use the dreaded N word, but whites are not.
Sterling never used the N word, or any other insulting word for blacks. In fact, he praised Magic Johnson on the tapes.
The tapes clearly sound as if Stiviano is pushing a scripted conversation, to get Sterling to say certain things.
One of two things happened here. Either :
1) Sterling was recorded unknowingly and the NV law was broken,
or
2) She is telling the truth about him approving of the recording.
So either she gets charged (or at least he calls for it) or he is even dumber than we thought he was, and so he deserves whatever happens to him.(not that I had sympathy anyway)
She recorded it. She is in the barrel. Hope she has some kind of permission slip signed by the old dude.

It’s known as plausible deniability
Magic Johnson?
Bingo.
I find this completely unbelievable. Why on earth would Sterling agree to recording an hour-long conversation with his skank? What possible purpose could he have? If it comes to court, I doubt whether this story will fly.
Ding ding ding! You win tonight’s prize!
Yeah but if he approved of being taped—why would she need a friend to keep the tapes?
This woman is just as disgusting as Sterling.
I was told that there was a clause in the constitution that we have to love Jay Z no matter what he does or says.
That’s true, right?
