When I travel from DFW to Phoenix to visit GrannyBuckeye, I take the northern route through New Mexico instead of the southern route through El Paso.
The last time I did take the southern route, I stopped at a McDonalds just this side of the U.S. border for a break. From my truck in the parking lot, I watched a very large transfer of drugs between two 18-wheelers. Armed men were watching from a stand of Mesquite nearby. They weren’t trying very hard to hide.
Naw. They own the local police chief and sheriff typically. Another fine by product of Affirmative Action. Usually some guy whose last name ends in "-ez".
Was driving down I-8 between Casa Grande and Gila Bend last year. Saw a party of about 8 dressed in black walking along the highway, backpacks with water. Maybe armed, maybe not.
Clearly had just crossed, waiting for their ride. No concerns, out in the open.
Ho hum. Just another day on the "border".

Call the state patrol or stop at a scale and inform the guys there. They’ll chase them down and enjoy doing it.
Reason #287 why I've never been within 300 miles of the Mexican border and never will *go* within that distance of it for the rest of my life.Although I *have* been to Long Beach and Dallas...don't know how far they are from the border.
