And I agree with that. If people are willing to serve, that goes a long way with me. My problem is with this constant assertion that our system is broken. I don’t agree with that. Are there things that could need a tweak or two? Yes, as there are with many of our systems, or any system for that matter. I am a huge fan of Gowdy. I just have grown weary of the whole “broken” thing. There is “broken” and then there are “areas which need improvement.”

I have as well. But, like Trey, I'm a born Southerner and to me, the word "broken" means something isn't working well and needs immediate attention. i.e. "My lawnmower is broken and isn't running right."
My request to him regarded his stand on amnesty. This email letter to me says, "This bill does not confer citizenship."
NO BLANKET AMNESTY is what it says to me. And I also speak English.
