can you cite that law. My understanding that in public view merely recording a police officer is not a crime.

Any recording method which may expose a municipality to law suits will be illegal. No matter how any law is written, it's all about giving the cops unlimited power to do whatever they want, whenever they want, with no financial exposure to the state.

When was the last time a reporter attended "Cop School" to report what their steroid raging little shaved heads are being formed into?
