reminds me of the Clinton whitewater hearings. there was an episode, I cant remember it in exact detail, where an aide named josh steiner had written incriminating info in his diary about the then current us red cross head. when steiner got before congress (and I remember republicans salivating that they finally got the Clintons), josh told diane feinstien , “i lied to my own diary”.
you have to hand it to the democrats though, that’s something I would never thought of to say.
