It threw open the gates for the "sex without consequences" libertinism that's engulfed our society. And if pregnancy could be avoided with a little pill, it was only a tiny step to acceptance of abortion.
I believe The Pill is the root cause of many of our national aberrations. We've almost entirely lost sight of the fact that sex is for reproduction of our species, not just a wild, irresponsible series of orgasms.
