One reason there may be more women than men at college is that men correctly perceive colleges' hostility toward them. I'd rather not see kangaroo courts at colleges for men accused of rape, but if driving away men hastens higher education's collapse, so be it. My children love Khan Academy.

My friend’s grandnephew went through this a couple of years ago. The first he knew about it was when the police came to his home (in another state from the university) and arrested him for rape. That was when he found out he had been tried and convicted by the university disciplinary committee in absentia, and without notice, for an alleged attack on another student (identity anonymous). At the same time he received a communication he had been expelled from the university.
Fortunately, his parents had the money to hire a good criminal attorney to fight the charges, and they also sued the university. Eventually the student who had filed the charges admitted she made them up. But this kid was facing prison and being labeled a sex offender for the rest of his life, based on an unsubstantiated complaint and kangaroo court held by the university disciplinary committee.
