How do you even know who an accused terrorist is before you start questioning him?
They’re enemy combatants, not citizens. And “harsh interrogation” isn’t used to determine if they’re terrorists, it’s used to determine who their compatriots are and what they’re planning next.
It’s a good bet that if they’re shrieking “Allah Ackbar” at you before you catch them, or they are planting IEDs, or they are flying the Al Qeada flag they are a terrorist.
Water boarding against non-federal employees of the US. government, is extremely rare, almost non-existent.
The claim and evidence, is that we only water-boarded 3 terrorists, (we have water-boarded 10s of thousands of federal government employees), we knew who they were, they were not people just picked up in traffic stops and suspected of possibly having some useful information.
Once the CIA stopped advertising in the major newspapers for terrorists to report their whereabouts and stop by for questioning, everything went to hell.
Now they just arrest the suspects after they committed an act.......What happens then, I could care less and waterboarding is the least of my wishes...........
