In the 70s I remember, during pheasant season it wasn’t unusual to see shotguns in the back windows of pickups in the high school parking lot.
I moved to rural KY from Seattle three years ago. In a very real way (an very GOOD ways) I feel like I’ve gone back in time 50 years. In my area, everyone is driving around on the public roads on quad runners, and it is not unusual to see people driving around with people in the back of their pickups.
There is a “feeling” that the government chooses to butt out of your life unless you are causing a REAL (as opposed to perceived) problem.
