That seems a lot more believable than his story. It’s highly unlikely for anyone rammed by a car, hard enough to be thrown onto the hood, to come away without very serious leg injuries. Especially, if he was facing the car at the time (knees don’t bend that way).

It would also be damn near impossible to draw your gun and pop off 4 quick shots in such a close group while being hit and then taking a wild ride on the hood. I don't care how close. Regardless of how fast one can pull the trigger on a semi auto, under such stress it would take some preparation and time to do it. It is obvious that he already had his gun drawn and was planning to shoot before he jumped on the hood of the car.
