Would you try to explain to us how a president is not involved in social issues at the federal level?
You seem to fundamentally accept the necessity for an authoritative Federal Government.
I reject that notion.
There is no Presidential candidate that can win by promoting any Federal Authority unless they are a Democrat.
We will lose every and all elections if the choice is perceived to be between the Fascists and the Socialists.
This is of course a false choice, but is nonetheless the battlefield we find ourselves having to deal with.
