Not just birds.
Terrible.
Flying a bit low there, aren’t you pardner?
One notes that general aviation is so safe that any crash anywhere of a small plane in the U.S. is national news.
We should put windmills along our norther border to protect us from any incoming ICBMs. They apparently work well at taking down anything that flies.
Every time I drive by wind farms I think: Stupid. Stupid! Insanely stupid!
The progressives (and clueless useful idiots) feature these things in their propaganda. They show attractive men and women holding architectural plans in their hands while they look to the horizon (metaphorically to the future).
Not a single one of these damned farms is economically viable. They are all supported by tax money. And when they die, which they all will, they will remain a blight on the land, rusting hulks. No one will want to pay the money to plow them under. Oh wait, there’s always the taxpayers...
An accident of this type has long been talked about among GenAv circles. All of the pilot awareness issues aside, this has been coming for a while now.
The lawsuit should be EPIC, as a whole bunch of lawyers have been waiting for an event like this to happen.
Not the 1st time this has happened. A Mooney that I think was scud-running hit a windmill near Oshkosh a number of years ago now. When they put the windmills up @ Tehachapi years back it really ticked off the soaring pilots that soared the ridges their.
I don’t know where the mistake is, but a Cessna 140 cannot hold four adults. Even two adults and two little kids are a stretch.
I used to own one. It is/was SMALL.
