Though there are important differences in the the flavors of UKIP and the Tea Party in the US, both groups represent a pro market, pro entrepreneur, deeply middle class, anti centralized government, and anti-establishment perspective. Both represent a reemergence of classical liberalism (with exceptions on both sides) on a large scale.

Nigel Farage is the greatest leader and speaker the people of Britain have seen since Thatcher.
The British are Finally saying”Enough”!!Does that give anybody any ideas on this side of”The Pond”??
How about co-opting UKIP’s “British jobs for British workers?” American jobs for American workers!! Let’s reduce legal immigration.
That’s the ticket. It’s a natural to bring the union voting machine into the Tea Party and out of the party of corporate crony Rats. But it’s a longshot.
UKIP is an actual party. Immigration is a central concept to UKIP. The UKIP is strongly nationalistic and contends that both legal and illegal immigration have changed British culture. The UKIP wants out of the EU. Smaller government is a secondary concern to UKIP.
The TEA party is a voting block, not a party. It is focused on a smaller government. Immigration is an issue in that illegal aliens are provided with unfunded benefits that cost the taxpayer more money. Nationalism is only an issue if it is in regards to smaller government and less taxes.
The two are not alike at all.
I believe a well funded third party could make the Republican Party extinct. The rinos would head to the dems where they belong, and a patriotic party would capture the old GOP and a lot of independents.
Many, especially those on the left and the liberal Media think that the Tea Party is a political party, which as you said is not. They don’t get that there is a big difference between an actual party like UKIP and a voting block or idea like the Tea Party.
The rinos come out of the woodwork any time someone suggests that. It is true, though. Remember a putz named Perot? He was winning the race when he dropped out. Never fooled me,but he tapped into a desire to be rid of the shackles of the two parties, especially when a rino Bush was in charge of one of the parties. Get enough money for backing and some familiar names to join up (Palin, Cruz, Rush) and it could happen pretty quick. You’d see a groundswell, in fact. It would start with a Presidential run that would align with tea party conservatives. The infrastructure of state and local organizations wouldn’t happen overnight, but over time as people switched.
True. But until recently there have also been two distinct opposing major parties on the ticket.
Will you still be poo-pooing third parties when your beloved Republican party formally endorses amnesty and a "new improved, conservative version of Obamacare"?
Legal immigration costs the taxpayers far more money than illegal aliens. And legal immigrants vote two to one Democrat and favor Big Government to a far greater extent than the native born. The Tea Party should learn from UKIP on the issue of legal immigration that takes American jobs and depresses wages.
My impression has been the opposite.
First, legal immigrants don’t vote. They have to become citizens to be legal and vote. I’ll assume you meant naturalized citizens.
Second, my experience with naturalized citizens from eastern europe and asia are that they are overwhelmingly conservative, as most have escaped some liberal hell-hole. I would like to see sources of information that support your post.
Yes, legal immigrants are provided with green cards and a path to citizenship. Once they have citizenship, they can vote legally.

Immigration's Impact on Republican Political Prospects, 1980 to 2012
I am truly flabbergasted that you don't know this.
I love the guy. Its just awesome seeing the rise of UKIP.
There are big opportunities to do that but corporate goons on the GOP side don’t seem interested in the blue collar vote which tends to be more conservative on many issues. The illegal immigration issue should be a big way to win significant chunks of working class/blue collar black and even Hispanic voters as well as larger portions of blue collar whites which of course are still the majority voting block in the US. We have large segments of unemployed and the last thing we need are us citizens of all stripes having to compete more with illegal alien labor which is used to having zero protections/rights in relationship to employment.
From what I have seen I would agree. A game changer.
USA needs Powerful 3rd Party—Need Liberty Party to grow out of Tea Party-—No more 3rd party wasts votes talk—That Mantra doen’t reflect the new Obama America. People supported Nut case Ross Perot because of NAFTA and “read my Lips” Bush—We gots a whole lot more now! The RINO-Republicans caving into the Progressives and MSM. Who really runs the US? The New Your Times Newspaper? CBS NEWS? Saturday Night Live? Jon Stewart?
