Those idiot white liberals in California still think they live in paradise while the rest of the country sees it for what it is. A high tax, over regulated, unfriendly to business, economic black hole populated with increasing numbers of low-skilled, illiterate, entitlement mooching third world human debris.
Good for Toyota.
OMG! This is a big blow to our community, which is American headquarters for Toyota and Honda. Toyota has been big in supporting local charity and educational programs. The Banquet hall at the Torrance cultural center is the Toyota hall, for example.
Major bummer!
I worked there as a temp in 2001...funny I was contacted for a contract gig there just a few months back

Eventually the tax load will fall heavily on Hollywood, Apple, Facebook and Google. Things should get interesting then.
Yee Haw!
Looks like the housing market in Plano just skyrocketed.
Just remembered Nissan did the same thing in 2006.

Just so they don’t bring their libtards with them.
All Your Jobs Are Belong To Us.
Just wait. Sacramento will bring them to court, get a judge to sign an order preventing the move, or some such non-sense.
Sorry CA residents, taxes will increase to make up for this loss..
But at least the air will be cleaner.
I'll say this for North Texas: there's been a boatload of huge highway projects completed in the past couple of years.
Hahahahahaha. I just drove past that factory a few weeks ago. Beautiful monument to human ingenuity.
I expect Moonbeam will be introducing a “Getting out of Dodge” tax soon.
Close to home. Sad.
I’m thinking of leaving next year too. I can’t believe it. This is truly paradise weather and beauty wise. But for a lot less you can live a nice life elsewhere.
I’ve fallen in love with Nashville but Denver looks pretty good too.
An avalanche of AWESOME!
Moonbeam FAIL alert! We voted for another
old washed out lib for governer. Instead of a successful business CEO. There you have it!
The article states that Toyota is going to move 5,000 jobs, not 5,000 people. I was involved with a company that relocated from Anaheim to the Midwest. Guess what. No one wanted to make the move. The jobs moved, but the people who lived in Southern California did not want to make the move. My bet is that the company officers and other high ups make the move, but they back fill with people who are already in North Dallas.
