Perhaps his attitude is that Collins is the very best you're gonna get from Maine. Americans For Democratic Action,a Maoist group with close, long term ties to the anarchist wing of the Rat Party, gives Collins a score of 50% in regards to the 20 votes that they believe were most important in 2012. That means that they think that she voted correctly in half of those votes.
Move about 50 miles west of Maine's border with New Hampshire and you arrive in Vermont (New Hampshire isn't a very *wide* state). In Vermont, you'll find a filthy multi-millionaire Rat named Lahey. The ADA gave him a score of 100% for that same year. So your only two realistic choices in Maine are 50% or 95-100% which is what you'd get with another New England Rat.
It's an extremely nice part of America, the people I've talked with seem friendly enough, but when it comes to having the political smarts, folks from those States play the system for all its worth. Some (even most) apparently see themselves as New Englanders first and Americans second or third.
I don't get a vote up there and, besides, have to constantly keep finding logical reasons to explain away our electing Lindsey Graham down here. Yet, playing the percentages like you mentioned sounds sorta smart on one hand but awfully Inside Baseball-ish (credit: SP) on the other.
My reason for making the first post was because of erratic but not surprising behavior coming from Rand Paul, a semi-national figure...as is Lindsey Graham, who we MUST vote out in the S. C. Primary June 10th or possible run-off three weeks later.

Hmmmm, what sets Colorado apart from the other 49 states? Oh, yeah, legalized recreational marijuana! And a libertarian does well there in the polls taken two years before the conventions? Amazing!

“Perhaps his attitude is that Collins is the very best you’re gonna get from Maine”
Collins is the GOP nominee running against a democrat. If there’s someone smoking dope in this discussion it’s not Rand Paul.
Is anyone seriously hoping that the democrat will win?
Are people happy with Harry Reid as Majority leader?
Nobody is concerned about the next supreme court nomination?
LMAO. I think I’ll take some time off from these threads. I don’t know what’s going on here.

Now Now 2DV, don’t argue a logical supposition like that. It will make Rand’s shill post more idiocy ;)

Please do not jump to those conclusions without considering that this is a website for Conservatives, who may or may not be led to support all Republicans. Your logic could also validate the 2014 re-election of Lindsey Graham for the same reasons.
My reason for starting this thread was because of recent and continuing erratic but not surprising NON-CONSERVATIVE behavior coming from Rand Paul, a semi-national figure...as is Lindsey Graham, who we MUST vote out in the S. C. Primary June 10th or possible run-off three weeks later.

Won’t vote for Rand or Collins. They’ve made it clear they wouldn’t fix very much Will go to vacation at the beach instead. If Hillary wins, she wins.

Look, Rand Paul has the highest conservative rating of all the senators in the senate. Check the American Conservative Union website.
I’m hoping that Lindsey Graham gets beaten in the primary. But if he wins, I hope that he beats the democrat.
No conservative cause will be served by having the democrats in charge of the senate. The next supreme court nominations are at stake.

“No matter what” Republicans were warned long and loud they would lose if they put a lib in the top spot to run in 2012. they did it and lost.
They have been warned every day since. The logical conclusion is that they WANT to lose and thus want Hillary since again, they are pushing a lib for the top spot to run against her.
Both losses are the sole fault of people who fought to get liberals in positions to run against the Dems. Because they have been told. So the cards will fall where they fall.

He’s quantitatively easing the value of his endorsement.

When the R party nominated governor Romney, I urged everyone to vote for him as an apparently decent and capable man.... Even though his politics were not what most folks wanted. But millions of people just stayed home, thus enabling a second term for O. A disastrous outcome. The R party needs to nominate someone who will attract these votes back again. It ain’t a policy clone of the D party platform. That’s for sure. And if all the effort at “ please vote for mr Romney, to stop O”.... Didn’t work, there’s no reason to believe “ please vote for our liberal candidate to stop
Hillary” will work any better.

It won’t. The GOP is not remotely trustworthy and that is because of their broken promises.
I will never stay home personally. But I will not vote for a liberal just because the GOP runs one against Hillary. I won’t vote for a liberal if ANYONE runs one period.
If the GOP runs someone who hits the traditional 80% conservative threshold, I’ll be there with bells.

Rand Paul: I wholeheartedly endorse Senator Collins for re-election. Doesn't speak very well for his character judgement - which doesn't speak too well for him.

To: grobdriver
Paul’s own lack of character seems to be increasingly obvious.
Rand Paul was an enthusiastic supporter of Mitt Romney, then Mitch McConnell, and now Susan Collins.
In 1988 he campaigned for the libertarian party, and he still tells libertarians that he wants to change the GOP platform.
“I think that the Republican Party, in order to get bigger, will have to agree to disagree on social issues,” Paul advised. “The Republican Party is not going to give up on having quite a few people who do believe in traditional marriage. But the Republican Party also has to find a place for young people and others who dont want to be festooned by those issues.”

Yet, playing the percentages like you mentioned sounds sorta smart on one hand but awfully Inside Baseball-ish (credit: SP) on the other. OK,fair enough. You're correct to note that citing stats can sometimes be rather abstract and difficult to understand. So I'll put it in more concrete terms.New England has 12 Senators. On the day that their OsamaObamaCare vote occurred 9 of those 12 were filthy Rats and 3 were Republicans.Judd Gregg in New Hampshire and Collns and Snowe in Maine. All 9 of the Rats proudly, defiantly, voted "aye".Judd,Snowe *and* Collins voted "no".Assuming that Collins *also* voted for a Republican to serve as the Senate's Majority Leader then she's gotten at least several...if not more than several....votes right.Compare that to Lahey who, almost certainly, has never voted in the best interests of this nation during his *entire* 150 year Congressional "career".
To: rabidralph
Well I don`t support liberal RepubliCrats because theres no difference between the Rats and those Crats, so if that party does as well, then they don`t get my vote.
